Anthony Guerrero Short, MS

Anthony joined the AIDS Foundation Chicago in their role as HIV Resource Coordination HUB Manager in 2020. Prior to joining AFC, Anthony worked in mental health advocacy and health public relations. They have a long history with AFC, having previously been an intern for Pride Action Tank under Kim Hunt, a volunteer for events, and a member and Co-Chair of the AFC Associate Board. Anthony holds a Master’s in Health Communication from Northwestern University and is a candidate for a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Born and raised in Mexico City, Anthony hopes to bring their lived experience as Latine/Latinx, their passion for health equity advocacy and their work with LGBTQ+, mental health and sexual health issues to the forefront of everything they do. Anthony is a drag artist, an amateur cosplayer, a begrudgingly inconsistent runner and is brushing up on their Portuguese skills and is teaching themselves Japanese as well! Hopefully they can put those language skills to the test and travel around.
