Jasmine Mikell

Jasmine, is a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. With over 5 years of experience working in public health. Jasmine has been a leader in breaking down barriers to care and promoting health equity for LGBTQIA+ individuals. She previously worked at Planned Parenthood of IN as a medical assistant and Clinical trainer providing quality healthcare for hundreds in the community. Including HRT, HIV/STD testing, PrEP, PEP, reproductive health counseling, and other necessary healthcare for all regardless of gender, sexuality, or race. She began at COH as a Rapid Resource Responder in the HUB and quickly became a leader and a source of information to her peers. As the manager of Center on Halsted’s HIV/STD HUB resources /Hotline, she oversees a team of trained counselors who provide confidential support, information, and referrals to individuals living with or affected by HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Jasmine is a strong advocate for the “Getting to Zero” initiative, which aims to achieve zero new HIV infections, zero AIDS-related deaths, and zero HIV-related stigma.
